This is the second book in a three book series. As in the first, the idea for the story actually started out as a joke. While I was on active duty in the US Navy, I was on board several ships and worked with a large number of Naval pilots. After listening to their long and much exaggerated tales, I began keeping a journal of their various stories, then on leave I sat down and wrote the first couple chapters of this book in a vain attempt to embarrass them by putting in print their bragging. The idea backfired and instead of being embarrassed, the officers loved it and encouraged the completion of the first book. When my mother, herself an author, read the first book, encouraged me to take the story to the next level. With a strong cast of characters, a captivating concept, and an obvious open door to a sequel, I was back to the computer. I must stress more in this work than the last, this is a work of fiction. The characters are based on real people and in some cases, use their names. Those people have agreed to this and enjoy their moments in the sun. Others are made up of from people I know, but do not necessarily bare any other qualities of that person. Some of the events of which I will tell you in these pages are true events, some are yarns told by military personnel ( like pilots), and others are truly fictional events added to help the story line and add to your enjoyment. I can tell you this about these stories, our armed forces have silently put their lives on the line and shed their blood for this country every day in the name of God and Country. They have done so with pride and resolve and never given the honor of the truth or recognition for their sacrifices. If nothing else, I hope this lets you that never served know that the gift given you is your way of life. For those of you that served, let this be your recognition for your time and sacrifices. For those that gave their lives and their families for this country, let this be your epithath. For those that have been left behind, YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN.
