This is the first book in a three book series.  The idea for the story actually started out as a joke.  While I was on active duty in the US Navy, I was on board several ships and worked with a large number of Naval pilots.  After listening to their long and much exaggerated tales, I began keeping a journal of their various stories, then on leave I sat down and wrote the first couple chapters of this book in a vain attempt to embarrass them by putting in print their bragging..

Much to my amazement, when the officers read the story they all came to me and asked for the rest of the book.  It took me several years to complete it and send out the manuscript to several Naval officers for their approval and suggestions.  Many of the names and locations of certain events told of in this book have had to be changed as a matter of National Security. 

You must understand, that much of what our military does, never happens.  Everyday our troops put their lives on the line and will never get the recognition for their sacrifices.  Next time you see a Soldier, Marine, Coast Guard, Air Force, or Sailor, take a minute of your time to thank them for their dedication to your freedom.  The price of freedom is never free.
